Let's talk about that belly button. Yep, I said it. We all have one scar in common. That's our belly button. Your belly button is your original scar.

Your belly button scar tissue can involve a lot of organs, muscles and connective tissue. It's amazing the feelings that people report when I work on their belly button.

If you suffer from unexplained pain, tightness, mobility issues, discomfort when you breath, it can all stem from your belly button. Cool right? Awesome to know that some of the disfunction in your body can come from something so small and cute. 😀

If you're interested in seeing what's possible with myofascial release, I'm here to help.

"I hold stress in my ________."

Insert shoulders, lower back, hips, feet, forehead, neck....the list goes on and on.

What this really means is, "I have fascial restrictions here."

Those restrictions can be a result of many things...repetitive motions, emotional trauma, injury, surgery, subconscious holding patterns, etc.

Myofascial Release can help release and let go of those areas in your body. It can also free your mind from feeling like you are in constant stress.

Make your appointment today.

Balance. Ying/Yang. We've all heard how balance in our lives is important. In our bodies, it's even more important.

Do you work out hard? Do you take time to stretch and recover from that workout?

Do you work a stressful job? Do you take time to meditate or journal to relieve that stress?

Do you receive deep tissue massage? Do you also receive gentle massage to combat the trauma on your body of that deep tissue massage?

"But...I'll rest when I sleep!" 🙄

The rest you get when you sleep is different from the conscience act of being gentle to your body in therapeutic ways. The waking mind perceives rest and gentleness differently than the sleeping mind.

For example: myofascial release, yin yoga, restorative yoga, meditation, journaling, reiki or other energetic healing, coloring...or any other way to unplug and rest your body...on 👏 purpose 👏.

Give your body what it deserves after it does everything it can to support you in your daily endeavors and dreams. Take the time for yourself to be gentle and rest.

Myofascial release is a great way to give back to your body in a gentle therapeutic way. I'm here to help.

We live in a society that demands instant gratification. I've encountered many clients that think one session will "fix" them. And to be honest, they get a little aggravated with me that they aren't better yet. Having those expectations will just prolong the healing for those people.

Healing takes time. Being gentle and leaning into the process is not only good but necessary to have long lasting results. Be in the mindset of enjoying the journey. Take every small step (good or bad) as a victory. You'll get to the light at the end of the tunnel. I'd love to help you in your journey to heal and live a pain free life.

Your Psoas is a very important muscle in your body. If it's not happy, you can have issues with:

- Headaches
- Backaches
- Mood stability
- Breathing properly
- Walking
- Posture
- Pain down your leg
- Progressing from a sit to a stand

The psoas can be tricky to find. It's buried beneath other muscles and some organs. Lucky for you, I know exactly how to get to it.

If you suffer from any of the listed above symptoms, I urge you to make a MFR appointment. Let's get you back on the road to being pain free.

Tattoos are scars. They are beautiful and tell a story of a lifetime but they are still scars. And like most scars tattoos can also create scar tissue deep below in the layers of your body.

If you have tattoos and have unexplained pain (not caused by an injury you can name) then you may need to have your fascia released. I've experienced scar tissue from tattoos traveling to different parts of the body. It's a cool experience to start at the area of pain and trace it back to the tattoo. The human body is an amazing machine, indeed.

While you think you might not have injuries that warrant a body work like myofascial release, if you have tattoos it can be just that simple. I urge you to try myofascial release and see what's possible.

The beautiful, ground substance filled, spider web net that is your fascia is an amazing organ. It holds and encases every single system in your body. Everything that you are, is passive to the fascial system.

However, your fascia doesn't know what "normal" is in your body. What it does know is to support and protect the tissues, organs, cells, and systems of the body where they are in that moment.

This means when you incur a trauma (emotional, physical, meta physical) your fascia along with other systems heads to that area to protect it. And it stays there. The inflammation will go down. The scar will heal. The pain will subside. Your fascia stays there to protect and support. While amazing and helpful, this can also cause fascial restrictions.

So, a few years (or decades) after the trauma you start to hurt. The pain might not even be where the original trauma happened. It can be confusing, to say the least.

Your fascia can be introduced to what is normal by a trained Myofascial Release therapist. The restriction will be released and as a result, the fascial system will go back to what IS your normal. It supports and protects that new reality.

At Trinity MFR, we are ready to help you get back to normal. Come see us!
