There’s something really special about watching someone step into a new season with confidence.

This is Christa, one of our past brides, who came in for a makeup lesson because she was stepping into a new role at work. She told me she wanted to feel like herself, just a little more polished. She really identified with the Grounded Minimalist Self-Care Archetype and wanted a simple, everyday look that would communicate professionalism and build trust.

We used a few of my go-to Jones Road staples:
WTF (Medium Honey), Neutralizer Pencil (Medium Peach), The Best Shadow (Peachy N**e), The Best Pencil (Brown), The Mascara, The Brow Pencil (Brunette), + Lip Recharge (Me). Plus a little Flush Balm in Après from Merit.

We ended the day with a shopping trip together at Jones Road here in Austin (which honestly felt like hanging with a friend more than anything else) and got Christa everything she needed to start her new morning beauty ritual with confidence.

This is what I love about beauty lessons. It’s not just about the makeup, it’s about helping you feel like you again, in whatever season you’re walking into.

A soft, simple spring look that came together in under ten minutes. 🌿

As a longtime “Roadie”, I had high hopes for these new releases… and they truly did not miss. I’m a little obsessed, to be honest. And I think you will be too.

For this look, I used three of the new eyeshadow sticks in Taupe, Smoky Brown, and Dark Brown. The tones layer easily, and one of the shades has a subtle dash of sparkle that catches the light without feeling overdone.

For lips, I finished with the new Lip Recharge in Champagne. The applicator is especially lovely. Smooth, precise, and easy to use, with a sheer wash of color that feels so light and refreshing.

For all you ladies out there who said they wanted easy, this is it.
