Even with my returning clients, every consultation is an opportunity to customize the service. It’s not just about adjusting the color—it’s also about creating a cut that truly addresses what’s happening in the chair.

In this case, we had to consider the stress her hair has been under, along with the impact hair loss can have when the body is going through a lot. The goal was to design a color and cut that worked together to support the health, movement, and overall balance of her hair.

During this appointment, there was a moment where the process shifted from me being the sole decision-maker to it becoming a true collaboration — and that’s exactly how I love it. I want my clients to feel empowered to speak up if something doesn’t feel 100% aligned with their vision.

That’s why I always blow-dry the first section in the front. It allows you to see and feel the tone early on. Now, drying just that front piece won’t fully show you the overall brightness or the consistency of the technique — it’s simply a preview of the tone. From there, we can refine in real time: go darker, neutralize, or enhance.
