Right before covid came and flipped us on our heads we made Charles a music video for his birthday. This particular video can pull anyone who knows us out of slump! @emmaczarczar deserves an Oscar for her role as Charles! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
• Since it isn’t possible for our team to stay distanced from our guests, our entry protocols, especially masks, are our greatest defense. (Since reopening in June we have not had a single case of Covid 19 contracted or spread within our walls.)
• According to most epidemiologists, the general population is not properly educated on how to wear and handle masks.
So many people are still misinformed about why we wear masks and believe that mask is to protect themselves. Masks provide little protection for the wearer and are worn to keep others safe.
• A mask that does not fit properly or has not been handled properly greatly loses it’s ability to protect you and the people around you.
• We have every size and shape of mask available and explain to our guests how to properly handle it during their visit (and hopefully always afterwards too if they weren’t already)
• Our masks are kept separate from all other laundry, laundered carefully and thoroughly and placed in a disinfected container with a fresh pair of gloves EVERY time.
• Because of all the additional waste the pandemic requires (gloves, take-out, delivery, more disposables, etc) we do not use disposable masks (except in very rare cases). Not only does this help a little with the environment but those little blue disposable masks are not surgical masks and do not provide adequate protection for our staff and guests.
• Most of our guests these days show up already wearing a great mask that fits properly. However, our stylists usually have to handle your mask at some capacity (moving ear straps out of the way, etc) and most people touch their masks frequently and
have them dangling off their ear when not in use. That’s fine in your personal life but in our shop with such close contact, we eliminate every possible risk in order to stay open and serve our community safely with integrity.
In an ideal world we would not be open in a pandemic, especially right now while the numbers keep getting worse and worse. Unfortunately closing would be detrimental to our team and to many of our customers.
We value human life over profit and we will not adjust our protocols for any reason.. Continued in comments⬇

Meshelle here. Just had to share this text I got from a friend today. He is Japanese and has awesome, course and wavy hair. But he said it use to be a bit hard to manage. He asked if it was possible for shampoo/conditioner to actually change his hair. The answer is a HARD YES! And look at him now, a year later, HOOKED!
