One thing I think of when spring rolls around is light, bright blonde and… change! Being blonde is fun but it can lead to some upkeep and maintenance depending on how dark your natural color is and how fast your hair grows. If you don’t like seeing your new growth you might come in for a root touch up more frequently, like every 6 weeks. If you’d rather push your appointments out further you have some options. One way is to try a Rooted Blonde, a “Lived-In” Blonde.
From super bright blonde, to added dimension, to tons of depth. We took my client from one extreme blonde to the other.
Last summer, I was consulting with my client the first time, she told me I couldn’t get her blonde enough! By our 3rd appointment in February, she decided she wanted her natural color to be more pronounced. The total opposite from her first visit!
I still do the same light blonde formula but I’ve made some changes to her foil application. By mixing a formula to match her natural color I did a root melt, added low-lights through her ends and pulled her highlights down lower, not as close to her scalp. Now her grow-out is more graceful, less obvious.
I finish her look with a creamy-blonde toner with tons of shine.
Now she has a rooted blonde that she doesn’t have to race back to the salon to maintain.

The best feeling is when your friend of 20+ years flies into town and you get to give her the glow up she deserves.
