Communication is key. We hear it all the time but understanding that and practicing that is another thing.
We’ve learned a lot of lessons along the way. In the beginning, while we were still building that solid foundation, the communication lacked a little. Now we follow the 24 hour rule with one another and with the amazing people we work with. Waiting to talk is never helpful, and not being upfront in a kind and constructive way, in a conversation that can give and receive will get you nowhere.
Owning 3 salons has really taught us so much both in and out of work as people. There are not two better partners that yin and yang like Haven and Mel. It takes work, it takes intention, it takes truth with yourself, and it takes a “why” that aligns to be successful at owning a business.
This partnership stands on solid ground because of the things that came along to try to crack that foundation. We can do hard things together. Life has a way of taking care of you, if you care about taking care of others 💓

The Queen of hand painting Neilani P - North Austin Hairstylist is rocking a birthday today 💓
We have celebrated 8 Birthdays with Neilani! That’s huge! We have watched her grow into such an amazing stylist and now wife! She has always been a kind, caring, compassionate person throughout it all. The growth she has had in her career is something to celebrate. From co stylist 8 years ago to Educator on our one of a kind Education Program, she has changed careers with her balayage expertise.
Watching Neilani paint is so satisfying. Precision is her thing and the attention to detail is next level. Her laugh can be heard throughout the Cedar Park salon. Her clients and co workers adore her. She’s positive and hard working and a great mentor for our team.

Struggles make the good times that much better! 19 years of friendship and almost 9 years of business owning and we’ve learned to appreciate one another’s quirks. Always watching out for one another, good communication, empathy, respect, and understanding has made this relationship grow into what it has become.
Without all these things, it would be hard to push the needle forward in business.
Choosing a business partner is probably the 2nd most important decision you’ll make in life outside of a spouse. It’s a legal commitment that stays in place for many years and can make or break a person. We have heard plenty of not good experiences, but ours is one that through intention and effort, could not be better 💪

She did it again 💪
Cara Arbogash | Texas Hairstylist never ceases to amaze us. She put her mind and intentions towards not only becoming an educator for Davines, but also for our education department Salon Education 🌱
This is not easy to accomplish. In a salon full of high achievers. The bench marks and measurables to becoming an educator with us is high. Not only do a handful of KPI’s need to be at a high level, one’s leadership and positive mindset need to be one of contagion, inspiration and cheering others on.
Cara has done just that. She is officially part of the team and has already begun implementing new ideas and suggestions for an ever evolving and growing program.

Olivia is has completed a 10
Month training Salon Education and is now taking color clients at our Austin 360/2222 location. She does it all from highlights, balayage, vivids, reds, brunettes, babylights, foilayage…all of it. She’s been training under elite educators and her talent really shows in all she does.
Olivia will begin our cut program very soon with our talented cut educators. So that’s something to look forward to.
