I believe when you help someone feel confident about their physical appearance you have enriched their life, helped them to feel empowered, and secure about who they are. I have learned beauty is in the eye of its beholder, because it is everywhere and in everything. Beauty is within all of us and I believe it is articulated by each person’s own personality, individuality, uniqueness and how they
express it externally. By helping an individual see their potential, capturing their inner beauty and encouraging them to project it outward is an invaluable experience. Beauty is within each person, it is who we are and how we express our individuality through our mind and body. This industry is the key to helping people feel beautiful and confident about the way they look and feel. To me success is doing something you love, something that challenges you to achieve more, makes you feel proud, rewarded and balanced. Success is encouraging people to have personal growth to achieve their goals or help them attain their dream. At the end of the day you can’t be successful if you don’t help others with their success. The most worthwhile things to me have come from watching other people realize their strengths and seeing them fulfill their goals. I started my passion for the beauty industry in 2002 when I became a Mary Kay beauty consultant. Through the years I have attended many classes, learning about skin care, proper make up application for everyday, bridal, different skin tones, face, and eye shapes. In 2012 I became determined to expand my training and become a licensed cosmetologist at the Aveda Institute Austin. I completed my training in February 2013. During the year program at the Institute I began to work in an Aveda beauty salon to expand my knowledge of the industry, in doing so I was able to step onto the salon floor immediately after I was licensed in March 2013. By applying my passion for hair and makeup along with the training I've received, I have been able to help clients project their inner beauty, confidence and individuality outward. I will continue to learn new techniques in order to: feed my passion, be on the forefront of new technology and trends, and to grow within the industry.
