Women’s lives changed faster than our dating expectations did.
That creates a really interesting mismatch.
You can want to be courted. You can want generosity. You can want a financially ambitious partner. But if you’re financially independent yourself, I think it’s worth asking which things actually matter when choosing someone to build a life with, and which expectations we’ve inherited without really questioning them.
So I’m curious: does your partner need to make as much as you? More than you? Or does income matter less than things like ambition, stability, generosity, and shared values?

So I’m curious: what’s something your parents taught you about relationships — either something you want to carry forward or something you had to unlearn? 🤍
