Some business advice sounds good… until you live it.
If you’re a professional makeup artist, you eventually learn that not all advice leads to growth — some of it leads to burnout, undercharging, and confusion.
Building a sustainable beauty business requires more than talent. It requires clear pricing, boundaries, systems, and strategy.
If you’re feeling stuck, second-guessing your decisions, or ready to refine how you run your business, I offer 30-minute “Pick My Brain” calls to help you get clarity and move forward with intention.

The work you don’t post says more about you than the one photo you do.
Every artist wants the glam shot — few want the grind that builds the skill.
Stay in it for the craft. The tags will come when they’re earned.

Everyone says they want to be “fully booked.”
But what they actually want is freedom, aligned clients, and a schedule that doesn’t drain them.
Being busy is not the goal.
Being intentional, profitable, and in control of your time is the goal.
This is the difference between hustling as a makeup artist…
and building an actual business as a beauty professional.
If you’re shifting from “more bookings” to better bookings, you’re already thinking like a CEO — and that’s where everything starts to change.
Comment CEO ENERGY if this hit home so I know to create more content like this. 🤍✨.

DECEMBER GOAL LIST ✔️✨
Fun fact: you’re way more likely to accomplish your goals when you write them down… and even more likely when you share them. 👀
So here we go — my December goals are officially OUT THERE.
Because closed mouths don’t get fed… and closed notebooks don’t build the business you want.
December is short, busy, and full of distractions — but it’s also the perfect month to tighten up systems, prep for Q1, and end the year feeling proud of yourself.
Now your turn ➡️
What’s your #1 goal for December?
Drop it below and claim it. 💪🔥

There’s a quiet professionalism that separates career artists from temporary ones.
When you’re focused on mastering your craft instead of proving your proximity to someone else’s, your business starts to grow for real.

Just gonna leave this right here…

Perhaps not the exact math, but inflation accelerated to 7.9% in Feb 2022 in the US.
This doesn’t mean there are products and services that didn’t increase more than that due to demand / supply chain issues. So moral of the story- increase your price!

I get this question a lot from brides who might be the first of their friends or first child of the family
to get married.
I price myself at what I think I am worth. Tipping is an extra bonus in mind mind.
If you are expecting or banking on your clients tipping, your priced incorrectly - but that’s a story for another day.
It’s important to not make your client feel pressured to tip, but also remind them that makeup is a service based business and tips are appropriate.
By assimilating your service with a similar service where they likely tip, it will help them realize that they should in fact tip and approximate how much - without having to flat out tell them how much money to give you - for everyone.
