Quality beats time. Most people don’t need 10+ minutes. A few intentional minutes is enough.

Not always. That’s why we have multiple cold plunges at different temperatures. Your experience should match your body, your recovery, and your goals.

If your breathing is out of control, your body is in survival mode. Learn to control your breath first, then let your body adapt.

Here’s how we recommend doing it at Sauna House:
1. Start with a sauna session to raise your core temperature and relax your muscles.
2. Choose the cold plunge that fits your experience level. You don’t have to start with the coldest one.
3. Focus on slow, controlled breathing before you ever think about the clock.
4. Stay in for 2–3 minutes if you’re newer, or only as long as you can maintain calm, controlled breathing.
5. Get out, walk around, warm up naturally, and repeat if it feels good.
Recovery isn’t about proving how tough you are.
It’s about giving your body what it actually needs.
