To all clients of Panache 💐To protect our clients, staff and business, we ask that anyone who has left the state to change their appointment to allow for a 14-day quarantine {as well as any person who has been exposed . }
We will be asking all clients if they have visited the states presently on the PA list of places you must quarantine after visiting. We cannot risk anyone’s health nor having to close the salon should anyone come into the salon after exposure. We will do all that we can to get you back in as soon as possible but ask that you respect this policy mandated by the state .

Celebrating our 26th Anniversary this year will be different.
Being in a crisis humbles you and makes you grateful and thankful for all you have .

We would like to thank Tara, Melissa , Jill & Marylynne .. and all the girls that help us along the way ..you all mean the world to us .
They are not employees they are friends ., these friends became our family . We miss you .
The building of Panache is standing , nobody there , no work , no camaraderie, no fun ..no hustle and bustle.It’s now just a waiting game .
In our hearts we are all celebrating today , In a different way , grateful for the work and family we love , and each and every client that has walked through our door .
We get emotional when we think of the clients , our friendships & being away from you all.
These years seems to go by fast , they added up quickly , These people made 26 years happy ones. Thank you for your patronage .

Hi ! Little update from Julie and Erin & all of our girls at Panache .
First of all it was a sad , hard Tuesday . One we never expected and much more stressful than we ever thought it could be .
We missed our Panache girls . As we group texted all day as a salon as if we were all still with each other .. 💔

laughing and still being a family .

We never not opened our doors for business in 35 years .

We made a decision not knowing if it was the right one but did what we were asked by our governor as well as our president .

For the safety and love of our customers , Everyday people and human life .

We consulted with other salons.
After all , We are all in this together , we have great respect for our fellow hairstylist , Men and women that do our job everyday , as well as other salon owners , Thanks for making the decision with us . YOU ARE ALL GREAT !

I also have friends that have one on one salons that remained open , they are in a different situation than us .

We did what we thought was right , We did our part asked of us by a country as a whole .
Everyone has different beliefs but these were ours .

We made the decision for all of our customers , the ones immune comprised as well as the immune compromised that we do not service .

We had some calls about hair, nails, & wax and although we would loved the thought we are “Essential. ”❤️

We came to realized that we are not . These are non essential services . 💄💋🛍🛎✂️💅🏻

The services we provide are not a matter of life and death.

It became funny when our texts came in that regrowth , waxing legs & pink hair was so important to some people😂

We took in consideration some would clients be upset & we tried to explain that we feel what we did was right .

“We are doing our part .”We didn’t want to get anyone sick on our watch .

This virus 🦠 could be airborne , we have done our homework .. read and listened to all reports .
Julie and I stalked up on a steamer , Clorox , Clorox wipes , toilet paper , barbicide .

We knew we could clean implements , combs , brushes , open windows ....
(As we have always have . )
We could have the fresh air , as well as our big front doors open.

We could scatter our clients and work longer different hours so there wouldn’t be a lot of people in place at once . But it wouldn’t correct the unseen .

What we also know is that some people could be asymptotic for 14 days , feel fine and look great , with no fever & by the naked eye we could perceive these people as being , “just fine to service .”
Nobody can predict this virus .. the best MDs say we don’t know a lot about it , we are learning .. we need to listen hard to the Science behind the study of the virus .🦠

Now the latest information and updates let us know through a sneeze or a breath , a carrier of Carona can leave particles in the air as a drop of moisture .. It can live somewhere from 3-12 hours we can’t Clorox wipee the air .. and you can’t Clorox invisible.
There is no sanitation for air .
(we wish we could . )

This is why people are passing the virus . Boats , planes , that can be sanitized but not the air itself .

Also State board of cosmetology asks if we are all 6 feet apart , we are not . We are on top of one another , although our salon is somewhat large and spacious we have many people in the salon at once , (if you have been there you know .)

Our reviews are all great but they blatantly state it’s not a place to close your eyes and meditate ..
We like you to think you are in a fun cafe , with a love for laughter and friends of all ages. So if you are 88 and you need a perm or if you are 16 and it’s your first formal we welcome you into our little, fun , cozy home .

That’s Panache’s feel and that’s what we love ❤️ & embrace . The salon took its own character through the years .

At first we took it as an insult & then we deemed it as a compliment.. we came to love & embrace our fun , loud , crazy , exciting home of hair .

We also ALL absolutely need the income . We have cars , homes , kids , bills ,animals and as we see it now lots of luxuries that we took for granted daily ...

Julie and I also
have major overhead , and now know we have the best landlord we could have ever asked for ...
Gayle Decker & Jeff Decker ... you have been so good to us . You always told us if we couldn’t pay the rent not to worry , We know many times you wanted to kill us 😂🙏🏼
It didn’t take a Carona virus to let us know what kind of people Jeff Decker and Gayle were . They always wanted us to succeed.. they told us if we couldn’t pay they didn’t care .


We will figure it out ,We will take a loan if we have to to.
We trust in God that we are making all the right choices . It’s in Gods hands .

We feel being a United States working citizen has provided us with a beautiful life
& many luxuries.. with our hard work.

We all loved our little gifts but for now we might have to give these up to keep others safe and healthy .

We are geographically born into a country that we were able to work hard daily , we added to our economy for 35 years .
WE ARE WORKERS ! 🇺🇸
And proud !

8 to 12 hour days and our girls work just as hard as us .
We have girls that have heart problems , diabetes , pacemakers , asthma . Back injuries, surgeries , sick children & a new babies . Some are immune compromised , they are STILL workers .. nothing stops them,
They take the disability and they keep going .

We are very proud of them , they add to our economy daily & made Panache a success.

They are hard-working successful , good people .

Julie and I have been doing hair both every working day since we were both 17 .
We opened our doors April 1 , 1994
Those doors opened everyday since .
I say this with tears in my eyes . We are all so grateful for this gift .

I have never one time in 35 years missed a day . Sick or hurt I was there.

Its a physical job , our backs , hands , bodies hurt more than we like to think . We all ignore the pain, & we keep going . It’s also a mental job .

I felt people depended on me . Their schedules depended on me .
Now the time comes where we can or can’t stay open ..

The people that depend on me , I can potentially hurt . I can’t sell hair from a window , I touch people .. it’s airborne , we felt if we did our part we wouldn’t spread the virus , there would be no chance people couldn’t contract the virus through Panache .

I wanted to sneak in yesterday turn the lights out and do the desperate people texting my phone ,
my girls called and asked to the same thing . But that wouldn’t be morally right it’s not what we were asked to do .

Yesterday a girl who is so sick wrote a post that hit me hard 💔 she will not give anyone business that didn’t take care of her health . . she had cancer .. she pleaded & begged
Can everyone please do their part to curve this ?

At the moment we knew we made the right decision.

It’s now in Lackawanna and Luzerne county. It probably has been here for the last 14 days silent .. it’s airborne .. you can’t sanitize airborne .

Bare with us please , this is hard on us too. We are doing our part so it doesn’t get worse later . We are going to make up this time
By working xtra hard on the days when we get back .

Please think of all the small businesses that had to close their doors and understand the loss that all these businesses took on .
