My dear sweet sister, Kristie, how I miss you so! I cannot believe it has been 9 years since you left this world. It feels like my world came crashing down just yesterday. There isn’t a day, let alone an hour, that goes by where I’m not thinking about you. I feel surrounded by your love and strength every day, but what I would give to be able to pick up the phone and hear your silly songs, your road rage, the stories of your travels and adventures, I’d take a lecture from you, too....anything to hear your voice and to have you in this life with me, with all of us. You were truly beyond one of a kind and not only am I blessed to have had you as a sister, but also as a best friend, a role model, a bossy boots, and someone that has taught me so much about love, courage, loyalty, strength, fearlessness, and you still continue to teach me even more with all of the lasting memories I hold so dear and the “what would Kristie do”!
