Hi all!! I just wanted to share my continued progress. As we all know, fitness is a lifestyle change and a lifetime commitment. Which I continue to work and stay fit. I have good days and bad days. I have moments where I am unmotivated and don’t work out for a while. Then I find a spark and get back to it…the ups and the downs. I started in 2013…my heaviest weight was 250lbs, I did the work, lost the weight and went down to 135lbs in 2015. I thought I would be happy but I wasn’t. I started lifting weights because I wanted my curves back…pushing protein and working to gain weight the right way. I’ve been holding steady since 2020 at 165-170lbs which is my happy spot.

I didn’t like the sagging belly skin i was left with after losing the weight, so in 2020, I had a tummy tuck to remove the excess skin. I didn’t have lipo done, so I really have to be extra careful with my food and fitness because I can gain the belly weight back easily.

Through all of this, my arms have been what I truly hate the most. I lift weights, I do all the arm exercises out there that is recommended, but my arms were still flapping in the wind. I decided July of this year to have non-invasive lipo to my upper arms and I’m 3 months out and excited about the results. I’m back to toning and lifting weights to help enhance the results. I will follow up in January, if my right arm doesn’t start shaping up to look like my left arm they will take a little more from my right arm.

I just wanted to share, that with weight loss and weight training, not everyone’s skin will snap back, not everyone’s “trouble” spots will cooperate. I decided to get some help and I don’t regret it. I will continue to do my best to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Much love friends♥️

How and why people do 5am workouts and LIKE IT, is a mystery to me🤣🤣🤣. I do it because that’s the only time I truly have for quiet time. I’ve added to my fitness certifications and am now certified in kettlebell training. I’m still learning the proper mechanics and modifications, since my spinal injury doesn’t allow for regular uses of weights. I’m excited to share some new things and hopefully help those with injuries to modify their workouts and still have an effective workout!! Once I get the these things down, I’ll share it with you.

Want to kick start your healthy eating and weight loss without exercises just yet? Want to start reducing that stubborn belly fat? It’s all about the carbs. If you cut out the bad carbs and reduce your good carbs intake, you will see a difference without adding exercise!! Of course, when you add the exercise, the changes happen a little faster. Our bodies use carbs to burn energy. When we eat bad carbs, it is stored in our fat storage cells. The more bad carbs you eat, the more your fat storages increase. Cut the bad carbs from you daily intake, limit your good carb intake, and force your body to burn fat for energy instead of the stored carbs!! I promise you will see some changes!!

It’s Hump Day. Still lifting weights and started back working out daily. Need to start posting more. Working on it🖤. This is what happened when I ditched the constant cardio and started lifting heavy weights…especially on leg day!!

Want a relatively easy way to get a little bit of resistance work done for the day?? Ankle weights…I’ve been wearing 10lb ankle weights while I’m doing household chores or while I’m just moving about the house. On my days off, these weights are on my ankles approx 3-4 hours a day. Every little thing helps. Take your daily walk with ankle weights…it helps!

***Accountability Post*** since I started transport, I’ve gained 12lbs over 6 months. 1 1/2 weeks ago I stepped on the scale and weighed in at 180. It was time to get focused. I started working out every day…alternating cardio and weight training days. I restricted my calories to 1200-1500 per day and restricted my carb intake to 20g or less per day. Increased my water intake and stopped the snacking. This morning my dry weight was 167.4lbs. I’ve got a couple more pounds to go. I stay between 160-165lbs. Got to stay focused!! I love to eat🤣🤣🤣. But everything in moderation♥️

I started my weight loss/get healthy journey in 2014. All I knew was…cardio and eat right. I became my own personal cardio queen. Always afraid to lift weights because i didn’t want to be “manly” with my physique. That came from lack of knowledge. I started lifting weights in 2018. So happy I learned…I’m a certified personal trainer (not practicing…I’m a Respiratory Therapist by career) with getting my certification came the education behind lifting, curves and muscles. There’s levels to weight lifting and resistance training…it’s all in what you want your goals to be. Happy Sunday Ladies♥️

When I started my weight loss journey my objective was to lose weight, lose weight, lose weight. I was pretty much a cardio queen...combined with clean eating...I lost the weight and everything else🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️. When I was in the military, I was leaner than I was in the 2015 pic. So that was my ideal target. Then somewhere along the way, I decided I missed the curves I had gained with the weight. Since I knew it was possible to have those curves, I had to figure out how to gain weight the right way. A variation of keto including a extremely high protein diet and lifting heavy weights did it for me!! I’ve been out of the gym for about 7 months now, I’ve been maintaining with a proper diet...I’ll be back in the gym end of April, because I’m taking a step back from work and only working my required shifts. Time to tone these curves!! So ready for some serious self care and LEG DAY!! So glad muscle memory is a thing for me...I’ve got work to do.

***CONFESSIONS*** I am a workaholic🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️. I love my career field, Respiratory Therapy, but I also enjoyed fitness training. I haven’t done it in about a year or a little more😢😢😢. This pandemic has kind of killed the whole in person thing for me...and I don’t like zoom workouts🥺🥺🥺. I also haven’t been working out as I should because I’m always on the clock at one of the 2 hospitals that I work at. Where am I going with this? Eating right is the biggest way to maintain your weight and health. Even through the holidays, I was able to keep control of my weight. Working out is an added bonus to eating right, but eating right is the key. I’ve managed to keep my belly in check, I’ve lost ab definition, but I’ll get that back when I start working out again. In the meantime, eat right, eat right, eat right....and DRINK WATER😬😬😬. I need to get me some Halle Berry Abs😳😳😳😳. Anywho, stay safe friends...mask up😘😘😘

I challenged myself to 100 days of fitness. I completed it last week...but I’ve spent the last 4 days looking for these leggings🤦🏽‍♀️😬. My starting weight 176, my end weight 164...inches lost(I don’t know what my starting waist inches were...my waist is 27”)...feeling better. Now it’s time to maintain. How will you feel if you challenged yourself? You will definitely feel much better. Don’t put off your start date another day. Start now, start today!! You’ve got this!!
