BB creams usually offer a light tint with hydration. CC creams are designed to even the appearance of skin tone. DD, often called “daily defense,” is a marketing label for multitasking creams, with benefits that vary by product.
Choose for your skin, not just the name. Check the shade, coverage, finish, ingredients and SPF. No category is right for every skin type.
Don’t assume makeup provides enough sun protection. Choose broad-spectrum SPF 30+ and follow application and reapplication directions.

Blue light may help reduce acne-causing bacteria, while red light may support collagen production and improve the appearance of fine lines. Benefits depend on the device, the treatment plan and your skin.
Claims about green, yellow and purple light are less established. A color setting alone doesn’t tell the whole story.
Before starting, ask whether LED is suitable for you and follow the device’s instructions, including eye protection. Results vary.
