Book one of Ambrose Parey's treatise is available on Kindle! I transcribed it from the pdf of the 1649 English translation, adding footnotes.
An Introduction to Surgery: A Compendious Way The Father of Surgery, Ambrose Parey, writes an introduction to surgery in this book from 1579. The 1600s English translation is available online, but is difficult to read due to deteriorated paper, obsolete words and poor font or typeset. This is a much easier to read version.

Milledgeville and Sandersville - Kaolin Capital of the World. There's a kaolin festival in Sandersville every October. Kaolin is big in spa products like body wraps and foot treatments. I can't recall all the therapeutic benefits, but it feels great when rubbed into the skin and leaves the skin feeling silky.
