Governor Doug Ducey yesterday announced that he will allow local governments to implement and enforce face covering policies to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the state. In response, Avondale Mayor Kenn Weise is joining several mayors across the state to implement a local order with regard to mandating face coverings. Effective June 21, 2020, until further notice, face coverings by employees and customers will be required in city facilities, and in all retail establishments, convenience stores, grocery stores, pharmacies, gyms, indoor sports or activity facilities, and medical offices. https://www.avondaleaz.gov/government/mayor-council/proclamations
