(Gently!) Exfoliate your lips daily in the days leading up to your appointment to keep them smooth and tattoo-friendly. A simple DIY scrub of sugar and olive oil works wonders.

• PREVENT COLD SORES
If you’re prone to cold sores, consult your doctor about getting an oral antiviral prescription to use before, during, and after your appointment. Better safe than sorry!

• SEAL AND PROTECT
Cracked and damaged lips cannot be tattooed! Use Aquaphor and SPF to keep your lips sealed and protected.
