🔅The Ultimate Spray Tan Outfit Checklist🔅
* Tops: Oversized, baggy tees or loose-fitting tunics. Avoid sports bras or tight tank tops to prevent friction streaks.
* Bottoms: Baggy sweatpants, joggers, or wide-leg pants. Skip leggings, skinny jeans, or biker shorts, which will smudge and rub off the developing tan.
* Footwear: Flip-flops, sliders, or loose, open-toe sandals. Do not wear socks or closed-toe shoes like sneakers or boots. Uggs or rain boots are acceptable if there is wet weather.
* Undergarments: Go commando if you prefer to avoid tan lines, or wear a dark, old swimsuit or loose cotton underwear.

🔅Things to Leave at Home 🔅
1. Jewelry: Take off necklaces, rings, watches, and earrings to prevent metallic reactions with the solution and avoid skin indentations.
2. Deodorant & Perfume: Avoid applying these on the day of your appointment. They create a barrier that prevents the tanning solution from absorbing properly.
3. Makeup & Lotion: Wash off all makeup and do not apply any body lotion.

Here’s a small tanning tip-
Spray tans always look best at least a day or two after your appointment so make sure to give yourself enough time between your appointment and the big day. I recommend getting your wedding spray tan about two days in advance. This also gives you time to even out your tan if it doesn’t turn out exactly how you imagined. Using exfoliation techniques, you can even out your tan to create the perfect bronzed glow.

>>After your spray tan, you should wear dark, loose cotton clothes that will cover your fresh tan to protect it. Outfits such as a dark cotton maxi dress, loose yoga pants, and a t-shirt or jammie pants, and a soft long-sleeved t-shirt. Never wear tight tops or leggings after your spray tan as it can rub and mark your fresh tan before it sets in.

*Leggings–These are tight, they rub, they have seams that rub, they have tight waistbands that rub. Did I mention that they rub? Lululemon leggings are the worst with ALL the decorative seams and cutouts and crisscross straps. Super cute but not good after a spray tan. Think lines ALL OVER your legs.

*Bras–Regular bras, sports bras, cute bras with 25 straps in the front and the back. These come with all sorts of problems. Rubbing over your tan while you are pulling it over your head. Sliding it down your arms getting into it. Hooking it in the front, and then spinning it around to the back.

Makes my eye twitch just thinking about it.

*Tight Shirts and Tops–These have to be pulled down over your face, rubbing and smooshing your hair into your tan. Rubbing across your pretty tan face with the awesome cheekbone contour that I just applied. Or they have tight sleeves that pull and rub when you are putting your arms through and smear your tan around your wrist and up your arm.
