Your hair is weakest when it’s wet. Wet hair can stretch up to 30% more than dry hair, making it much easier to break if you’re rough with it.

Instead of rubbing your hair with a regular towel, gently squeeze out the water with a microfiber towel or a cotton T-shirt, then use a wide-tooth comb to detangle from the ends up to reduce breakage.
