I didn’t get into makeup to make everyone look the same.
Of course I have a style. I have preferences, techniques I gravitate toward, and a point of view that inevitably shows up in my work.
But I’ve never wanted my portfolio to be a collection of different faces wearing the same look.
I think there’s so much value in being well-rounded. In knowing how to look at the person in front of me, listen to what they’re asking for, and adapt my artistry accordingly.
Because my clients’ idea of beauty doesn’t have to match mine.
How they feel about the way they look isn’t about me.
My job is to collaborate with them—to hear their inspiration, understand how they want to feel, and combine that with my experience and my style to create *their* perfect vision of themselves.
I don’t need my clients to look like me, or like each other, for my work to feel like mine.
I’d rather be known for how I make people feel than for making everyone look the same.

A rehearsal dinner at her family home overlooking downtown Bar Harbor, the most perfectly sunny morning for our biggest wedding hike yet, and a lobster bake by the water to welcome everyone to Maine. 🦞

We’re surrounded by opportunities to compare ourselves; constantly consuming what everyone else is doing, but rarely talking about how we’re actually doing.
When I started the Roundtable, I envisioned a space where artists could feel safe, ask questions, and share openly. Where no topic was off limits. Where you could pick my brain about anything, hear different perspectives, and realize you’re probably not the only one carrying whatever it is you’re carrying.
Less like education, more like group therapy.
And the first one was everything I hoped it would be. I left feeling inspired, validated, and already looking forward to the next one. (Apparently you all did too... because the biggest piece of feedback was, “Can we have more time?”)
So we’re doing it again.
Fewer seats. More time together. Same open book. Same honest conversations.
