Dear friends, I would like to ask you a small favor. It takes less than a minute and it might make a big difference. We only have until Thursday, March 20.

Trump's State Department is denying accurate passports to all trans and intersex people, a right we've previously had for over 30 years. Banning accurate IDs and forcing trans people to out themselves whenever they show an ID will only push trans people out of public life and expose us to discrimination and violence.

The State Department is accepting public comments through the end of this week for people to submit their concerns about the new passport policy that forces trans and intersex to out themselves any time they have to show ID. And they're required to review every comment before taking action.

You can submit comments anonymously on the federal register website (all three links below). I will post the comment I'm submitting in the comments below, if you would like to copy from it.
