🚨 Beware of the Card Decline Scam! ⤵️ The Better Business Bureau just sent out a warning about a frustrating new scam that tricks you into thinking your card has been declined — while actually stealing your card info. 😡💳 Here’s how it works: 👉 You’re shopping online on what looks like a legit site. You enter your payment info and get an alert: “Card Declined.” Strange, right? You know you have funds. So, you try another card… and get the same message. 😱 💡 What’s REALLY happening: Scammers now have the info for BOTH of your cards. Within minutes, you’ll probably see unauthorized charges. ‼️ What to do instead: 1️⃣ Don’t keep trying different cards. Every attempt gives scammers more access. 2️⃣ Double-check the website. Make sure it’s the real deal and not a clone site. 3️⃣ On trusted sites like Amazon, your card info should already be on file. If they’re asking for it again, that’s a red flag. 🚩 • MAKE SURE TO ALWAYS CONFIRM THE WEBSITE ADDRESS. "www.website.com" ie: "www.amazon.com" • Be careful if : "www.amazonshop.co.com" or "www.amazon.shop.com" • • Its safer to shop DIRECTLY from the APP and AVOID clicking on WEBSITE LINKS in emails. • • 💳 Stay smart and protect your wallet.
