Happy birthday to me💋
She’s 46 , Divorced & I’m finally free — free from the guilt, shame, embarrassment, and weight I carried after divorce. What tried to break me ultimately rebuilt me.
I want to thank the people who checked on me… and even the ones who didn’t.
Both taught me who I could lean on and how strong I truly am.
There was a season where I felt completely lost. A season so heavy I didn’t know if I’d make it through. I lost pieces of myself, lost things I worked hard for, and faced moments that nearly took me out mentally and emotionally. But I survived every hard day. I rebuilt. I healed. I found myself again.
I did what I could.
I gave what I had.
I tried.
Now… I’m done carrying what no longer belongs to me.
No more apologizing for choosing peace. No more shrinking myself to make others comfortable. No more living in a chapter that has already closed.
I’m walking freely into a new one — stronger, wiser, softer where it matters, and tougher where it counts. This isn’t the end of my story. It’s the beginning of me choosing myself again.
Divorce didn’t destroy me. It introduced me to the version of myself I was always meant to become.

And through every hard season, one truth stayed in my heart: I want for my sister what I want for myself.
I want healing for her.
Peace for her.
Stability for her.
Grace for her.
A soft place to land when life gets hard.
A reminder that she is never alone.
That is the heart behind The Carter House.
