McKenzie here..

I have gotten some messages about appointments and have seen some on moms phone aswell.

At this point, please consider your appointments for this month canceled. We will reach out and offer rescheduling if recovery is quicker than we expect, but we have a ways to go.

We do understand you may need to look elsewhere for your hair needs temporarily, but Ofcourse hope to have you back if it allows in the future. I’ll do my best to communicate with everyone.

I’m really really proud of my moms dedication to this process and her commitment to getting better for herself (so stubborn, so independent) and all of us. She’s made strides in the right direction, and though it’s been rough at times, there’s been a lot of blessing and opportunity in the process. Pretty sure she’s offered some great entertainment for hospital staff aswell 😂 . Something about a Mardi Gras party in the hallway? Idk. Suzi things. 😉 🎉 

At this time she’s still in Acute Rehabilitation on the third floor at EMMC. Reach out if you wish to visit.

Hey Everyone,

This is McKenzie, Suzi’s daughter, once again.
This is the easiest way to reach you all, as I don’t have the majority of your personal contacts and have yet to fish through the dozens of message request I’ve gotten. Mom has also gotten several messages and we appreciate all the love! I’ve read her your comments. Things have still been chaotic, but we will get back to everyone when time and energy allows. You’re all very important to us and we appreciate how much you care!

Mom has been inpatient for four days now. She was finally moved from the ICU, but still has a ways to go. Discharge at this time is unknown. In summary, due to several leading factors, her body has become very weak and low on nutrients and she’s unable to complete most any task without assistance. Her levels are all over the place and the word we’re looking for is Stability. She’s able to communicate and is making slow progress in areas, but has very little strength and is still very uncomfortable .

At this point we have been able to manage her needs, but know you all as clients that are more like family are willing to help and when that time comes- we will certainly reach out.

She is on the Haskell unit on floor 3 at EMMC, as some of you have asked about sending cards ect.

Due to COVID restrictions, we ask that you leave visiting hours to our family at this time- or reach out to me personally with request regarding visitation.

Mom is currently at the hospital undergoing tests and treatment after a scary and fairly serious medical spell.

She is ok at this time, but we do ask for prayers, privacy, and patience as clients as we don’t know how long she will be there or what the recovery time will be like.
