I’ve always loved Dolly’s story about modeling her look after the “town tramp,” because little me absolutely understood! At 6, I was wearing perfume (specifically my mom’s Chanel No. 5 that she’d received as a gift and didn’t like), hot pink press-on nails, and red lipstick to T-ball. A few years later, I was practicing my high messy bun and makeup in the bathroom, stuffing my shirts with balloons or plastic bags filled with air while playing dress-up, and planning my future b**b job because I thought the women everyone else called “trashy” were actually the most beautiful.

Well, the implants never happened, unfortunately. 😂 But the love of aesthetically pleasing things stuck, and eventually became a career that helped me break a cycle of generational financial issues.

Dolly showed generations of women that you could be everything at once... glamorous, talented, intelligent, authentic, have an off-color sense of humor, and most importantly, be extraordinarily kind and generous while still standing firmly on your principles. I’ve always admired her story of coming from extremely humble beginnings, becoming wildly successful and wealthy, and then giving so much of it back,not because there was anything in it for her, but because she saw problems and had the ability to help fix them. It really should be that simple. In her lifetime, she did more good for the people and animals of this country than any politician, and that should speak volumes.

What a special, compassionate and beautiful legacy to leave 💜💕

I have a few color or extensions openings left for September! These are open to new and existing clients 🧡🍁🍂 They are only able to be booked through messaging me, and I can take exisiting client haircuts during these times as well!

A little scheduling update + something new and exciting coming soon: I am currently unable to accept new clients, and my books will remain closed to new clients for the foreseeable future. However, we are in Bangor, Maine, which means people are always moving away, so I'm sure I'll be able to accept new clients again at some point 😅😂

Disclaimer: If you have been in the salon before, have an appointment coming up on the books, or have at least been in within the last few years, you are not a new client and will continue to book with me or online as usual.

The reason I have to close my books to new guests for now is simply because I have so many amazing people keeping me booked + busy!💜 🥹 I want to make sure that everyone who is already an established client of mine—whether I see you once a month or once a year—continues to have reasonable access to my schedule without me needing to add more hours or days to my work week. Taking great care of the clients who have supported me is really important. 🤍

BUT… if you've been hoping to get into the salon, don't be too disappointed just yet. 👀

I have a very exciting announcement coming later this month that will open up some new opportunities for those of you looking for an appointment! 🥳🎉👀🙈
