I’m officially book until my last day! Please keep in mind, if anyone has to cancel their appointment between now and June 30th, there will be no rescheduling. This coming Monday I’ll be posting a list of barbers and shops in the area as recommendations for all of my clients.

I am sad to announce that the Oak Room will be coming to a close July 28th. I will not be taking appointments after Friday, June 30th.

I want to say how much I’ve appreciated the patronage and support from all my customers. Your support has played a significant role in getting me where I am today -- sticking with me from one shop to another-- until, eventually, the Oak Room. I’m truly thankful!

The decision to close was difficult, but the time has come for me to make a change. The last few years have been challenging for everyone, leading many small businesses to burn out. I am not exempt from that reality.

While I’m not putting down the clippers for good, I will take a little break and reset before I begin cutting again.

The future will look different from the Oak Room: I will cut back my days and hours. And as a result, my client list will have to be significantly reduced. At that time, I will contact some of my clients.

Jake will remain at the South Main St. location until the end of July and plans to continue to work as usual in the Bangor area. He’ll keep his clients up to date as things change. I want to thank Jake, whose been an excellent addition to the shop and someone I’m proud to call my friend.

Thank you again for the years of dedication and support you have given to me and to the Oak Room. I can’t express enough how grateful I am for each of you!

I’m am currently booked until April 11th and my waiting list is full. I know I’ve got unread messages and voicemails but I ask that everyone please be patient as it might be a few days before I am able to return messages.

‼️Attention All Oak Room Clients‼️

Over the last several months we’ve had a large uptick in last minute cancellations and clients not showing up for appointments. This has caused serious losses for us at the shop and as a result we must implement a new policy to hopefully help offset those losses. Below is our new Late Cancellation/No Show Policy.

Late Cancellation / No Show Policy

- All cancellations must be made prior to 9am the day of your appointment. Text or FB messenger is preferred.

- There will now be a $15 charge if a client cancels after 9am or ‘No Shows’ for their appointment.

- No Call/No Show - In a situation where the client does not show up to an appointment without notice, they will be given a ‘Strike’. After two ‘strikes’ the client will no longer be able to schedule appointments but can be put on a call list in case of cancellations. We will take emergency situations into consideration in deciding wether or not the client receives a ‘strike’.

Please keep in mind that our schedules are very full and we’ll reschedule cancellations at our earliest convenience.
