Hi everyone. I'm sorry for not keeping you up-to-date like I should have. Time just kind of got away from me. I am still cancer free, YAY!
I met with the plastic surgeon on July 30th and I will be having my reconstructive surgery some time in October or November with a down time of 4 to 6 weeks, which was more than we had initially thought. Honestly though, I am not horribly surprised nor upset about it. Things that you used to make me angry no longer take that much precedence in my life. If it's something you can't control, don't let it control you. Simple right?
I only have 4 more immunotherapy treatments left. YAY again! And I'm happy to say that I am slowly starting to do hair again. I am still not able to feel my left hand from the neuropathy so it takes me longer than it normally would to complete a hair service but that's ok too. I do have a neurology appointment, but like most specialty doctors, it is not until October.
I will only be working from 9-3 Monday thru Friday. Both the kids are in sports and I've seen the last of my 12 hour work days. I'm thankful though to still be here and able to start my life again. I can not tell you enough how grateful I am to have all of you. The prayers, help and love are what got me here today. So THANK YOU. I love you all so much and hope to see you soon, whether it's in the salon or out at the grocery store 🥰.

UPDATE/EDIT: Ty for all the prayers and positive thoughts. They are so very important and meaningful to me. I did not originally post my health issue, thinking people would just pass over this post. not worry or care what it was about and those who already knew what was going on would continue to pray without a comment. I was clearly very wrong. I apologize for thinking hearts do not feel unless they know the whole story. With that said, I was diagnosed with the most aggressive Bresst Cancer, Triple Negative, as well as a second Breast Cancer, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, Oct. 27th. I tried to work and did "ok" for almost 2 months while going through chemo and immunotherapy. I had to cave and give up working to take care of me because the neuropathy has become so incredibly painful I could no longer feel my fingers or toes. Shears, standing for 10-12 hours and that are not a good combination. I am continuing to fight, some days harder than others, but nonetheless I WILL BE on the winning side some day. Again thank you all for the thoughts, prayers and positivity. I truly believe it all helps more than the all medications, treatments and doctors could ever do for me. ❤️💪❤️
