A couple months back… I met this beauty and her lashes. She was wearing extensions that were clumpy, and touching her eyebrows, which were double the length of her natural lashes. We did a full removal due to overall discomfort. It was so sad to see what was underneath. I gave her two options… to 1) start on the peptide serum and come back in a month for a reassessment, or 2) to start her in lashes with the expectation they were gonna be extremely sparse. She chose the first option.

A couple months later… still a long way to go… I’m confident we’re on the right track to healthier lashes!

Most of my clients choose me because of my delicate nature and my conservative approach to lash extensions.

Many have expressed their sadness that their lashes just have gotten so thin, so sparse over the years. As we age our lash cycle patterns become less and at some point, we get what we get. It’s so important to be mindful of really how delicate our lashes are. All the rubbing we do, the curling, the waterproof makeup, heavy lash extensions, strip lashes, etc etc… really does a lot more damage than good. On top of that stress, hormones, medications, and even health conditions can cause hair loss.

When we meet, we talk about ways to bring life to your lashes again and then I talk about lash sets that will work for your individual uniqueness.

The rehab process usually might include getting on a peptide based serum. I love LashX’s serum, which will help to strengthen and fortify your natural lashes. Not only this, it’s safe for eyelash extension wearers! I don’t necessarily look for lengthy lashes; instead, I pay attention to how your fibers grow in thickness— the thicker the lash the stronger the base! LashX serum works deep into the root area to allow your lashes to stay anchored in its anagen phase (growth phase). The longer it stays here, it can receive all the nourishment it needs to thrive up unto the surface. Also, less chances of premature shedding, which some steroid based serums cause.

For those brittle lashes, we must start off with a light volume set, and over time, we can build as your lashes strengthen. I use a thin med grade adhesive, formulated to be flexible and lightweight; and free of fumes, parabens, surfactants, oils, glycols, and hydroquinone.
