Hourly position available in a professional hair clinic environment. Great attitude and professional image are a must. Strong communication skills are preferred. No experience necessary. A TN cosmetology license is preferred, but this requirement may be waived for the right individual who has completed all training hours and is awaiting testing.
We have a list of over 300 clients needing services. When I look at this list, I don’t see money to be made, or a growing workload. I see PEOPLE. MY people. That I’ve grown to love dearly.
PEOPLE who, right now, it FEELS like I’m letting down.
Hairstylists, by nature, are very giving and empathetic people. We’ve never run across a situation where the government said we aren’t allowed to do our jobs before. We’ve never been asked to put our licenses and livelihood in jeopardy, and had to defend our reasoning before. We’ve never had to come up with such rigorous measures for reopening, and weigh the risk of wanting to please our people vs putting their (and our) health at risk before.
Having to say “no” has been HARD.
Closely following the briefings and orders for a return date has been an absolute emotional rollercoaster. “2 more weeks”, “2 more weeks”, “2 more weeks”. “Gov. Lee said this for 89 counties”, and then having to explain to everyone that doesn’t include us in Shelby County, and experiencing disappointment along with them over and over again.
I say all of this to say: PLEASE, be patient with us. We know the hair over your ears is longer than it’s been in years, and for the first time, someone other than you and your stylist know your hair secrets.
Trust that this is as hard on our hearts as it is on your confidence and patience. It’s out of our hands, but we are doing our best. 🖤

Phase 1 will begin Monday. Phase 2 will be at least 2 weeks after this, but it’s looking like there’s light at the end of the tunnel! 🙌🏼
Memphis, Shelby County to enter phase one in reopening plan on May 4 The mayors of Memphis, Shelby County and six surrounding municipalities have agreed to begin phase one of the Back to Business plan on May 4.

According to this, we are still a few weeks out from being able to reopen. We want to work as much as you want us to, but we have to follow the rules. We appreciate everyone’s patience during this time.
Leaders release Back-to-Business Plan for Memphis and Shelby County Local leaders released a back-to-business framework for Memphis and Shelby County.
To our clients...we hope to find out next week when we will be able to reopen. As soon as we know something, we will begin by contacting clients whose appointments were missed during our closure. If you did not have an appointment scheduled, but would like to get an appointment as soon as possible, please call us so that we can place you on our call list.
