Hair holding you back? Let’s chop it💇‍♀️ • WARNING: If you sit in my chair and want to drastically chop your hair and/or get bangs, I WILL need reassurance first that: A.) you didn’t just go through a breakup and need a change B.) aren’t just having an impulsive moment you’ll regret later C.) aren’t going to hate me for it after 🤣 Luckily for me, this cutie was SO ready to donate her hair (over 8 inches!!🥲) and say HELLO to a fresh new look. 🩵 (Sometimes the best content moments are unplanned, and as you can see, my lack of makeup and my hair in a pony shows that I was not planning on being camera that day. But that’s showbiz, baby.)

One of my favorite services in-salon lately has been showing young girls how to go into the new school year feeling like the most beautiful version of themselves🫶

Our summer school service bundle does just that - A mini facial with skincare tips, a makeup lesson, and a wash and style with style tips for any occasion.

I’ve been so grateful to be building the clientele of my dreams lately, so I wanted to share a little bit about why I finally found my way into the beauty industry after 6 long years in the marketing field.

Marketing is a staple to success. I felt that when I chose to major in Digital Communications way back in May 2013, and I still feel that. I went to a great school (Go Bonnies!) and had absolutely amazing experiences that led me to a career that I initially thought would fulfill my love to be artistic in everything I do.

But, it didn’t.

Now, let’s rewind to high school. My first job at a salon (BIG shout out to ) was the happiest I had been in a job prior to my start here at .salon in October 2022. After graduating college, I entered the corporate world and had helplessly accepted that adulting meant I should accept that my job paid the bills and that should be enough to keep me satisfied. And I did that for six. whole. years.

Now, fast forward to 2023 me. She’s verging on one year in her dream workplace, still incorporating her degree by treating herself as a brand that deserves to be shared with the world, and letting the days fly by because work feels like fun.

I’m finally in a place where art and making people feel good have a happy marriage, and that to me is the perfect career.🩵

Building my career by always staying inspired.🤍

Being a stylist might sound like just ‘doing hair’ to those outside of the industry, when in reality it’s about constantly growing your skill sets. It’s about tapping into your creativity in new ways on every client that sits in your chair.

For me, ‘doing hair’ is about being a friend, a confidant, and someone that my clients can trust to make them feel like their absolute best selves. More than anything, it’s the fulfillment of using my creativity every day to make others happy.🤍

Had such a blast learning from today and helping host her class in our little slice of heaven .salon ✨

Today I got to hang out with my friend and make her beautiful and get paid for it.. and if that isn’t a dream job then I don’t know what is.🤍
