Beginning July 1, Ascension Parish Library cardholders can check out a Check Out Louisiana State Parks pass to visit state parks and historic sites.

Each pass allows for one-day access for one person or one vehicle at participating sites across the state, including 21 state parks and 16 state historic sites. View our comments for the full list!

Through our partnership with the State Library, each APL location has been given a limited supply of passes. 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁-𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲, 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁-𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘀 and cannot be placed on hold; passes must be picked up in person.
