I know yall tired of us⊠Hair stylist are tired too đ€Łđ€Ł
Im so sorry⊠I am not a braider. Those days are long gone.. đ„č
Iâm about to start an argument⊠đ
You canât âgrow outâ relaxed or permanently colored hair and expect the treated hair to magically become natural again.
Your new growth is natural. The previously relaxed or chemically altered hair stays chemically altered until you cut it off.
And if you keep trying to hold onto damaged, compromised ends without properly maintaining them, they can break off faster than youâre retaining length.
So no⊠your hair isnât ânot growing.â
You may just not be retaining what you grow. đ€
Respectfully⊠thatâs not how hair works.
Another Day.. Another BOMB style.. đ„čđ©·

Donât forget to schedule your next âdoctorâs appointmentsâ đ
Honestly⊠hair is very simple, but it takes consistency and patience. But listen to me when I sayâŠ.
đ±Your hair being dirty is NOT what makes it grow faster
đ± Trimming your hair does NOT make it grow faster
đ± Your hair doesnât need oil every single day
đ±Protective styles donât automatically protect your hair
đ±Your edges donât need to be slicked down every day đ
đ±Your childhood relaxer isnât automatically the reason your hair wonât grow today đ

LOC MAINTENANCE MATTERS. đâš
Locs may look like theyâre just âgrowing,â but thereâs actually a whole process happening within your hair.
Locs go through different stagesâStarter, Budding, Teenage, & Mature. Each stage comes with its own changes in texture, density, and how your locs behave.
And hereâs something a lot of people donât realize: every part of your head may loc at a different pace. đ
The hair around your nape and crown may mature faster, while areas like your edges, temples, and other finer-textured areas may take longer to lock and mature. Your hair texture, density, length, products, and even how you care for your locs can affect the process.
Thatâs why regular maintenance is important. It helps keep your parts clean and organized, prevents excessive matting at the roots, allows me to monitor the health of your hair and scalp, and keeps your locs growing in a way that supports their long-term health.
Your loc journey doesnât have to look like anybody elseâs. đ«¶đŸ
Trust the process. Be patient with your locs. And most importantlyâmaintain them with intention.
Because healthy locs are the goal. Not just mature locs. âš
âWhat product should I use?â đ
My answer? Let me see your hair first. đ
I donât believe in recommending products just because theyâre trending, they worked for someone else, or they have great reviews.
Your hair has its own storyâyour texture, density, porosity, scalp condition, current state, previous services, and the way you care for it all matter.
The right product for someone else might be completely wrong for YOU.
Thatâs why Iâd rather assess your hair, understand your concerns, and build a routine based on what your hair actually needs.
Because healthy hair isnât about having the most productsâŠ
Itâs about having the RIGHT products. âš
Stop shopping for your hair. Start understanding it.
Your appointment starts BEFORE you sit in my chair. đâš
Before you arrive, Iâm preparing my space, reviewing your service, gathering what I need, thinking about your hair, and making sure Iâm ready to give you the best experience possible.
And for my new clients, thereâs even more that goes into itâlearning your hair history, understanding your concerns, assessing your scalp and strands, and figuring out what your hair actually needs.
Youâre not just paying for the time you spend in my chair.
Youâre paying for the preparation, knowledge, experience, products, tools, and intentional care that happen before the first strand is touched.
Because at Geaux To Glo, we donât just style your hair.
We GEAUX to work for your hair. đâš
