Edgeright Sharpening

Edgeright Sharpening is a one-man post- retirement labor of love and engagement. I set up shop in order to supplement my meager IRA distributions, pursue an avocation I enjoy, and meet interesting strangers. I provide a licensed service for the public, and businesses. I sharpen knives (kitchen, pocket, hunting, even machetes);

scissors and shears for sewing, surgery, grooming, hair styling and industry;

yard and garden tools from mower blades to axes to shovels;

some reel mowers;

and old-timey hand saws (a tooth-at-a-time, by hand), chisels and plane irons. If you have a tool not listed, and you think it needs a sharper edge, I'd be happy to look at it. Speaking of things not listed, I do not currently sharpen chain saw chains, circular saw blades, or planer blades. Sorry about that, but the demand is not strong enough to warrant investment in the expensive equipment required. This page is not about me. It's about my service. So I may at some point have before-and-after photos of particularly well-damaged edges I've rescued. But you won't find family secrets and personal photos and info here.
