Pale - Qi & blood deficiency
Light Pink - Healthy blood circulation
Medium Discoloration - Moderate stagnation
Dark Discoloration - Severe stagnation
Red Spots - Mix of heat and stagnation
Bright Red - Heat toxin

And what’s the goal? To increase blood circulation to the area, which softens tissue. Once we increase the blood, that’s when you’ll see the dark circled shapes form under the cup.

Gua sha therapy helps increase blood flow, break up scar tissue and reduce chronic pain.

My clients receive this form of therapy all over the body, but my most common region I scrape is between the shoulder blades!

Self-care doesn’t end as soon as your session is over! These simple practices will go a long way post-massage🤎

After massage Self-Care Practices:
- Drink more water! You should be drinking half your body weight in ounces
- Go for a 5-10 minute walk to get lymph fluid circulating
- Apply Heat or Cold as needed!
Heat for tension & Cold for inflammation
- Practice Deep Breathing.
This helps maintain the relaxed state of mind.
