Behind the scenes of a Lash Lift😍

I’m frequently asked how I avoid getting any product in y’all’s eyes. This is a view that usually only get I see, but helps a lot in explaining how the lashes and products are placed to prevent any product in the eyes.

The perming rod is secured to your lid then your lashes are lifted up and over, and secured to the rod. This leaves the lash line clearly exposed so I can see exactly where I am applying my product. The goal is to get as close to the skin without actually touching it. As you can see, the product is all up on the rod itself, with no threat of seeping into her eyes! After processing, I carefully remove the product with q tips so i can safely get in all those tight spots without pushing the product deeper into anywhere it shouldn’t be.

This seemed to be the theme of yesterday, so I figured I’d make a post with some more info!

Yes- your lashes are flammable! Whether its exposure to an actual fire like a grill or lighter, or just something radiating heat like your oven, high temperatures will singe and melt your extensions!

This makes them brittle and difficult to brush. The extensions get curled and twisted around each other, sometimes melting together, making them point off in crazy directions and your set look wild and messy.

As I can’t brush through or work around them, all of your melted lashes will need to be removed and replaced, which means it would no longer be a fill, but require a fresh set.

Please let me know ASAP if anything happens to your lashes so we can make the appropriate changes to your upcoming appointment(s). If you wait until you show up to your fill to let me know, I won’t have enough time to do everything so you’ll most likely end up receiving just the removal and having to schedule another appointment for the full set. Help us both make the most of our time together by communicating with me! My inbox is always open💋

LOOK AT THOSE ROOTS!😱😍

That black bulb at the end of the hair is the root system. When you see those, you know we yanked that sucker out by its soul and weakened the follicle, leading to easier waxing for you in the future.

You will only see a big juicy bulb on hairs that are in their active growth stage. If they are already at the end of their life cycle, the bulb turns white and dries out. Waxing those hairs doesn’t damage the root system like we want. That’s why keeping a consistent wax schedule is important- we’ll catch the most hairs in their active growth stage when waxing every 4-6 weeks.
