The One Year Anniversary of North County Coffee is approaching- October 1 !
I opened shop for ME - selfishly I wanted my own coffee stand, I always had. I craved being a barista in a fun space, with a customer base who would appreciate my fierce, quirky, self.
Working in a coffee stand, and the customer interactions that come along with it have been my safe zone, my therapy, my "nothing else in the world matters right now because I love what I do so much" zone for many years.
Working in the stand was my favorite part of owning the business.... UNTIL I saw this space become more than a paycheck for my team. My favorite part of owning this business NOW is watching the team grow to love this space just as much as I do, and to learn how it has bettered their lives too. These girls respect, trust and endlessly support each other every day and I cannot express enough gratitude towards them for being part of my dream.
11 months, 14 days later - I keep shop open for MY TEAM ! Supply shortages, vendor price increases, MASK "MANDATES", shut downs, County and State agents enforcing unjust "laws"... NOTHING WILL STOP ME FROM SECURING THIS SPACE FOR MY TEAM AND COMMUNITY!
