A lot of you on my beauty page may not know this yet, but recently I started a small local run club 🏃🏼‍♀️✨

Honestly, it started as something for my own mental health, growth, accountability, healing, and building community through movement. But the more I’ve thought about it… the more I’ve realized I want it to become something SO much bigger than just running.

One thing that has really been on my heart lately is shelter dogs 🐾

So many dogs spend most of their days sitting in kennels without enough movement, stimulation, socialization, or outdoor time — especially high energy dogs. And living in such a dog-friendly community between Vancouver & Portland, I started thinking…

What if our run club could eventually partner with local shelters/humane societies and become a volunteer-based dog walking/running community?

Imagine:
🐶 volunteers meeting at the shelter
🐶 taking approved dogs on walks or runs
🐶 helping provide enrichment & socialization
🐶 creating visibility for adoptable dogs
🐶 helping people become active while giving back

I also would LOVE to incorporate this mission into Blonde n’ Boujii by starting donation drives inside the salon where clients can donate food, blankets, toys, supplies, etc. for local shelters 💛

I truly believe community, wellness, animals, healing, movement, and purpose can all coexist together beautifully.

This idea is still growing, but I wanted to share it because I’m genuinely passionate about it and would LOVE to know your thoughts 🥹🐾

There was a season of my life where nobody saw the behind-the-scenes.
They only see the finished product now — the business, the growth, the confidence, the peace, the glow.

But they didn’t see:
the loneliness.
the burnout.
the anxiety.
the sleepless nights.
working weekends while everyone else rested.
the self doubt.
the exhaustion.
the brain fog.
the failures I cried over privately.

They didn’t see me fighting for my life behind closed doors.
Choosing sobriety.
Choosing healing.
Choosing to walk away from chaos, survival mode, and the version of me that was comfortable settling.

1.5 years sober later…
I can honestly say God rebuilt me from the ground up.

Not perfectly.
Not easily.
But intentionally.

There were days I wanted to quit.
Days I felt mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially exhausted.
Days I questioned if any of the sacrifice would ever pay off.

But I kept showing up anyway.

People will watch you struggle silently for years…
then call you “lucky” when your life finally starts changing.

Luck didn’t build this.
Discipline did.
Healing did.
Faith did.
Sobriety did.
And refusing to give up on myself did. ✨🤍

Senior prom hair but make it a JOURNEY 😮‍💨✨

This was a true color correction moment…
Started at 2:30pm and wrapped at 11:15pm (yes… almost 9 hours 🫶🏼)

Previous color history:
🧡 Natural ginger
🎨 Balayage
🤎 All over level 4/5 mocha
✨ Partial balayage
…and a few mystery foils + bands along the way

The goal? BLONDE AF without sacrificing her length or integrity.

We took this SLOW.
✔️ Checked foils every quadrant
✔️ Worked around previously lightened hair
✔️ Focused on keeping her hair HEALTHY first

8 double bowls of lightener + 8oz of gloss, a full box of foils later…
we created the most seamless, blended blonde balayage 🤍

She had school the next morning so she left with wet hair…
but when I got her prom photo 2 days later???
I about LOST IT 😍🔥

Moments like this feel personal… like doing my niece’s hair for prom.
