Good morning and happy Monday! 🖤🌿
First off, I want to thank everyone who reached out offering help with the whole canopy tent situation over the weekend. Your kind gestures mean so much to me and it really shows how supportive our community is, I can't thank you guys enough! Truly 💚

Secondly, another thank you to everyone who came by my booth over the weeked! Meeting soooo many new faces and seeing familiar ones needing a tea restock, it fills my heart with so much love!
I'm happy to say, dispite all the chaos, this was the best show I've done yet! I sold out of nearly everything thanks to all you tea lovers out there! 😅 I'll be busting a** in the kitchen making more for the upcoming farmers markets and festivals!

One last thing I'm excited to share– though I've told only a few people, I want to make this public as well...
I'm finally able to make Emerald Essence Herbals my full time job!!
All thanks to every single one of you for your endless love and support, I am finally able to make my dreams come true!! I am officially a full-time herbalist! 😭💚💚

And if you've gotten this far in this lengthy read, I thank you again. Thank you for everything!! With the love and support from all of you, I will put double and then some into all I create for you guys!

Yesterday was a great day at the Riverside Art Festival, until the rain came last night! ⛈️

I got a call around 3:30am saying my canopy tent had completely collapsed from the high winds, taking everything inside down with it. Most of my belongings are soaked and/or damaged

With the help of my amazing life partner, we were able to magically somehow get my conopy tent standing again after having to rebend all the legs back in place and fastening in some new screws in the metal frame. Though unfortunately it won't be usable after today.
My wood didplay stands are damaged but are fixable with new screws, some sanding, and a fresh coat of paint.
Thankfully I put all of my teas and such away in totes, so those are mostly fine!

Before anyone starts planning my funeral, let's clear a few things up.

Blackbird Market is NOT closing.
The building has officially been put back on the market, which means the future of this location is a little uncertain. Depending on how things shake out, Blackbird may eventually need a new nest.

But here's the thing...
I'm not giving up.
Not on Blackbird. Not on our vendors. Not on this community.
So instead of panicking, we're fighting back.
