Barbering by Joelli

Hey guys!

I'm super excited to announce, I will officially start accepting clients next week at Blue Collar & Co Barbershop!💙

312 miles, and 1 practical exam later... I am now a licensed barber!🤍

If I could highlight all of the things that have gone wrong just this past year I could write a series of books. But, lately, I’ve been choosing to highlight all of the positives in my life instead. I have truly taken the long way around. So after many attempts, 5 years in the making, 1000 clock hours, 1 state written exam; literal blood, sweat, and tears.. I am officially a barber school graduate!!

I truly couldn’t have gotten through this without my support system, and though it has been large, there’s three separate groups of people who I feel need their own personal shoutout!

My mom has truly been my rock through out all of this. She has taken me and my boys back into her home, helped raise them, woke them up for school, attended doctor’s appointments, missed work, paid for daycare, kissed booboos, and held them while they cried. She has more than picked up where I was lacking, more than once. I don’t say it enough, but I so appreciate everything you and Joel do for me and the boys! It doesn’t go unnoticed, and we love you!

And secondly, the friendships I have made in barber school some people don’t even get to experience in a lifetime. They have no idea how much they have uplifted me, helped me grow, and helped mold my experience into the experience it was. And, for that, I so appreciate every one of you!

Lastly.. I couldn’t have done it without Barbers Trade School; Ms. J, Mrs. B, and Mr. Harold have poured into all of us the knowledge we needed to grow into barbers. They have encouraged us when we were discouraged, guided us, taught us, laughed, and cried with us. They have heard our stories, and helped us change our lives! So thank you, to Barbers Trade School, for giving us all the chances we needed to succeed!

If you stayed this far into the post, I now have 1 state practical exam to go and I will officially be Joelli the *licensed* barber!💈🤍
