✨An update from Amber with Ber’s Beauty Bar✨

I’ve debated for a while about how to share this, because this isn’t an easy thing for me to talk about. For quite some time, I’ve been struggling with ongoing back problems and pain. What started as something I hoped would eventually get better has continued to affect my everyday life, my work, and the things I love doing.

As a hairstylist, being behind the chair is such a huge part of who I am. I love my job, I love seeing all of you, and I honestly couldn’t imagine doing anything else. That’s what makes stepping away so difficult. But I’ve come to realize that I need to take care of myself now, even though taking that time away is scary and incredibly hard for me.

After a lot of thought, appointments, and trying to manage things, I’ve made the decision to have back surgery at the end of September. 𝐈’𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 8–10 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤.

This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s one I know I need to make. My hope is that by taking this time to properly heal, I’ll come back healthier, stronger, and able to continue doing what I love and taking care of all of you for many years to come. ❤️

If you’d like to get in before my surgery, please book your appointment as soon as possible, as my schedule is filling up quickly. If your appointment falls during my recovery, I’ll be reaching out to discuss rescheduling or help you find an option if needed.

I know 8–10 weeks feels like a long time, and honestly, it feels like a long time to me too. But I’m trying to remind myself that this is just a temporary pause, not goodbye. 🥹

Thank you for being patient with me, understanding what I’m going through, and continuing to support me and my business. I truly have the BEST clients, and I’m so incredibly grateful for every appointment, every conversation, every laugh, and every one of you who has trusted me with your hair over the years.

I’m already looking forward to the day I can get back behind that chair, shears in hand, and see all of your smiling faces again. Until then, I’ll be taking it one day at a time and focusing on getting better. ❤️
