Well, mostly true. and I have been chatting online for awhile now. I met her through
When she found out I was coming to North Carolina for my Scalp Replica class, she asked me if I would be up to doing her hair.
Honestly, I was flattered. Another hairstylist is willing to drive a couple hours, pick me up at the airport, come back to my hotel room and pay me to do her hair.
Of course I said yes! At the time, it wasn’t 2am and the thought sounded fun.
It actually was fun, but your girl was tired and running on pure adrenaline. The lighting in my hotel room was terrible and the setup was not ideal. But we made it through, bonded in ways other than bonding hair, and now she is ready for her wedding.
Her hair is gorgeous! I am so excited to show it off!

Feeling extremely blessed to be among some of the first in the U.S. to be certified in Replica Scalp.
Two incredible women and their team traveled here from Europe to teach us everything they know, along with the bravest soul of all, our model Lisa.
But they taught me so much more than how to apply a Replica Scalp system.
They taught me about the vulnerability that comes with hair loss. About dignity. About the little things women experiencing hair loss think about every single day that most of us never have to.
I went into this class wanting to learn how to give my clients something I haven’t been able to give them before.
I left realizing I’m not just installing a hair piece.
I’m helping give a woman back something she thought she’d lost.
And I think you can see a little bit of that on Lisa’s face. ❤️

I started diving into this education a couple months ago behind the scenes and now I am doing the hands on portion.

As a woman, I know hair loss can be very private and personal. I’m always open to a private conversation.
You would never know she has some baby keratin bonds hiding in there.
This is not the case for everyone. During my consultation I will ask you how you feel about visibility.
Some people care and some don’t. Sometimes we weigh the outcome of the end result.

Another fun part of doing keratin bond extensions is the ability to customize the colors.
Being able to give some dimension and depth without another chemical process is another satisfying part to this process.
You can add some variation with weft extensions also but you are way more limited for a couple reasons.
🫶🏻 With bonds, the extension hair is dispersed throughout where a weft is more concentrated to one area of the head. In general this just makes colors blend so much better.
🫶🏻 with bonds, most of the time I am able to get closer to your hairline than I would with a weft. Therefore, being able to build something like face framing highlights is way more achievable with ktips.

Another new guest and another happy client.
She had been struggling to find a stylist in the area who also seen her vision. It wasn’t complicated.
We did a massive amount of highlights (because she had a massive amount of hair) to blend her grey. And then toned her with a violet gold toner. Violet to tone the yellow undertones and gold to still keep it bright.
I have said it before and I will say it again. Grey blending is a very broad term. It is something different for everyone.
Want more blonde without adding more bleach?
Sometimes the answer isn’t another highlighting appointment.
If your hair is already fragile, has been lightened repeatedly, or simply can’t handle being pushed any further, K-tips can give you the look of added highlights without chemically lightening more of your natural hair.
For this client, I added blonde K-tips throughout her brown hair to create those pops of brightness you’d normally reach for lightener to achieve.
And the fun part? We can be really intentional with where we put them.
Want more blonde around your face? Done.
Want brightness underneath or through the ends? We can do that too.
Want to play with a color you’re not ready to commit to chemically? Also an option.
Your natural hair doesn’t always have to do all the work.
Sometimes we just add the hair we wish was already there.

I live for the day where I can make a post about my dog. Happy National Dog Day!!
Sadie is our true love pup. In fact, she has decided that sometimes she would rather go hide under a bed somewhere than to deal with 4 of us all trying to get her attention 24/7 because we love her so much.
Collectively I bet between the 4 of us we probably have well over 5000 photos of her on our phones, which made it very difficult for me to choose just one picture to share.
We rescued her when she was 4 months old. She is now 5, I think 🤣. My brain is fried today. But she acts like an old lady and lays around most of the day. She tends to get her big burst of energy when it’s time for bed. It never fails that she darts for one of her toys and gets the zoomies.
She is trying to adjust to the fact that we no longer take the kids to school in the mornings and instead they ride a bus. So when I tell the kids it’s time to get their shoes on, she gets all excited to take them, only to be let down that she isn’t going.

Final result vs before
Her goal was to blend her grey, get rid of the brassy old color and get closer to her natural color, which you can see underneath
Our challenges: underneath all this color, starting about 6” down from her scalp, is previously bleached hair. Haircolor:bleach:more haircolor….and adding more bleach was not the best idea
Our compromise: we used K18 as a preventative measure to try and help any further damage. This is a non negotiable! We opted for a partial foil instead of going all in, not knowing how her hair will react and knowing that she wants to keep her length. Most of her grey is around her face (very common) anyway and then it’s sprinkled in everywhere else.
The Process: partial foil, more around her face and very tiny weave through her part line to mimic her natural grey pattern. Colored everything that was not in a foil with a demi permanent color to tone out all the brassiness. Then we toned her highlights very ashy to blend with her grey
The result: the very ends of her hair, where it had bleach, were fragile and some of it did snap. But we were aware before we did this that this was very likely to happen. She will continue to treat at home with K18 and come back in 5 weeks for a toner. From there we will decide next steps
She left very happy. It honestly looked beautiful and modern. Grey blending is a general term and is a very different process for each person. Feel free to DM me if you would like to discuss what your journey might look like
