This is the second month in a row that the following month is totally booked before the current month has ended. No one warns you about the level of anxiety you'll have when you feel like you're letting clients down by not having time available for them within a month.
In response to this, a longtime client just booked out through the end of the year. I love the energy!
That being said, don't wait if you're hoping to get on my calendar!

If I'm booked out too far, I'm always glad to give referrals to other LMTs who might be a good match for you.

Clarity is kindness, and also I got to use the laminator. I promise to fix the your/you're typo. I promise, I'm literate.
I've avoided signage for the most part (for the vibes!), and some things weren't as obvious as I thought they'd be. I've created some wee informational signs to invite folks into a fuller experience at the studio.
And laminating gives me that teacher's pet dopamine I always craved.

This is not an interesting photo, but it illustrates a point: Some bodies need support during a session, props to make the work comfortable. Comfort improves outcomes. Whether it's age, injury, or just the way a body is, there are ways to accommodate a person's physical form so that massage is a feasible option.
The therapeutic aspects of massage very much include the impact of receiving an hour or two of focused, intentional touch from someone who's there just for you. Becky Chambers wrote in her Monk & Robot series, "Welcome comfort, for without it you cannot be strong."
Beyond work that loosens muscles, improves range of motion, or relieves pain, therapeutic massage offers comfort. I hope you might choose to welcome that into your life.

My journey to what my life looks like now began before the turn of the century. I suddenly decided, having never had a massage or met a massage therapist in my life, that I wanted to become a massage therapist.
My roommate had just heard a guest speaker in her nursing program discuss the importance of intentional touch in medical care. She gave me the speaker's number, and I called. 30 years later, the seed planted with that act is bearing fruit. I'm so grateful to be here.
Nearly 700 additional massage training hours, thousands of hands on practice hours, and additional certifications in personal training, corrective exercise specialization and coaching later, I'm set me up to be a great support for you. I hope to get the chance.

Post top surgery massage applies a specific protocol to support healing and recovery. It can begin as soon as 4 weeks after surgery, and it can still support positive change even years after the procedure.
I use lymphatic drainage techniques, scar massage, myofascial release, and stretching to improve recovery time, scar healing and mobility, and range of motion.
I also arrive at the work mindful of the vulnerability I'm being allowed to access. This is a place of honor in which I get to exist as a practitioner. I take this honor very seriously. Trans people deserve safe space and care, just like all people; I'm committed to offering that through my practice.
If you or someone you know could use this care, let's make it happen.
If you're trans, regardless of surgery situations, you're safe with me, and I'd be glad to welcome you onto the table.
This weather has been fickle, to say the least. Even still, there’s a common anxiety that’s coming up for folks as things trend warmer. Is it potentially awkward? Sure. But, let’s talk about it anyway!

The intentional speed of my work coupled with my deep curiosity about what I'm feeling as I go make for a petty good massage if my reviews are to be believed.
Something that I love about massage is this: It won't make everything better, but it'll make something better - every time.
Of all the gifts I've tried to shape into something worth sharing with the world, massage is the one I feel confident makes a positive impact - every time.

One, this is the actual speed of this massage. I aim for a nice, easy dialog with your nervous system during most of my work. Nothing to get excited about, just getting deep into your body without making you tense up.
Two, I like to work complex joints like shoulders and hips from a lot of angles in a lot of positions. I love traction to invite space where it's needed. I work tissue when it's at its shortest, middle, and full length to keep that dialog dynamic. Broad handed holds and fingertip techniques offer a different sensory input, and both have their place in a good massage.
If you're lifting, doing martial arts or physical competitions, laboring at work, home or in the garden, or if you're spending a lot of time at the computer, your shoulders deserve some attention.
