New owner will reopen Belfast candy store and soda fountain Steve Ashey, of Stockton Springs, has bought the Chocolate Drop Candy Shop in Belfast and plans to open it again on Nov. 30.

8 medium fresh beets
1 cup vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons whole cloves
1-1/2 teaspoons whole allspice
