PLA Nails
Such a blast today with most of the team 💗 Got to watch some Demos and get some new polish (Tpo and hema free of course) 💗 Thank you ladies for making it such a great time! So neat that I had used PLA for lashes and even took the lash course long ago and now they have nail supplies too!! How cool we got to meet Michelle’s sister AND Nail Bender!!!

WHY YOU SHOULDN’T GET YOUR NAILS DONE AT OUR SALON (vs others in the area) *This is sarcasm*

1.) We use a new file/buffer with every client.
🤔Other local places don’t do that, sharing must be caring right?! We throw away used items that cannot properly be disinfected, so wasteful to put client safety first.

2.) We disinfect our tools in proper disinfectant, mixed at ratio with proper submerged timing too.
🤔I know some don’t do anything, use the UV sanitizer machine, “autoclave”, acetone or alcohol. Some of those methods are great in ADDITION to proper disinfectant as required by the state PRIOR. Really wasteful we properly sanitize everything and put it into a closed container as per state board regulations.

3.) We have pedicure liners for our pedicure foot baths AND we actually clean the bowls/chairs too.
🤔 Not sure why a salon would want to protect their clients and ensure there is no cross contamination between guests when everyone else just throws on a new bag.

4.) We clean all our work stations between guests, again with the cross contamination. I know, isn’t it annoying how much we care about protecting our client?
🤔 The trend is having a pile of dust on lamps, tables, tools, floors, chairs ect. Isn’t it beautiful, everyone’s doing it!?

5.) We listen to what you want and need, but will suggest what will work for you or what we are able to do though!
🤔 I know many clients are just told what they’re getting, it’s like a surprise then you get to pay for it.

6.) We actually wash and dry towels and blankets after EACH USE.
🤔 Not a rinse, not used on multiple people WASHED.

7.) Paraffin dip is one time use for us, we actually throw it away afterwards.
🤔 Again, wasteful, too considerate of the client and following sanitation standards. Wild, we don’t throw it back in there to warm up and breed bacteria for the next person! 🤢

8.) Toe separators, pedicure flip flops, pumice stones, we give them to clients or throw them away after EACH USE.
🤔 Again, and owner with OCD, a big fan of sanitation standards set by the board who governs licensing and CARES about protecting clients health it’s just NOT trendy at all! We don’t fit in, we’re okay with this.

9.) Who wants to be listened to, protected from infection, bacteria and cared about?

🤔 Trying to give clients what they ask for and not a cheap, rushed, assembly line that gets them out as soon as possible regardless of the work done? As long as it’s “good enough” or the service was basically done that’s totally fine right?!? Everyone else reuses things to save money and clients don’t know so it’s totally fine right?!

On a serious note: If you appreciate the client sanitation standards (extra costs we happily take on) and integrity we have, thank you for choosing and trusting us to take good care of you 💗 We don’t have a flashy place, we invest in our clients protection constantly, not shiny things to bring you in 1 time. We value YOU as a guest and prioritize building community relationships not just making a few bucks that day.

I was thinking maybe we could wear pink on Wednesdays in October in honor of those who have or are battling breast cancer 💗 What else can we do?!
