If anyone else is getting tired of the constant barrage of health threats thrown at us in 2020, we hear you loud and clear!📣

We’ve been doing some research on lung health as we are ‘in it’ here in the Pacific Northwest (ie. the nearest lake has completely disappeared into a cloud of smoke🌅☁️) and found some encouraging info to share on CBD in the process!

CBD has anti-inflammatory properties stemming from it’s actions on the CB1/CB2 receptors in the endocannabinoid system.

Because inflammation plays such a large roll in lung conditions such as asthma and other respiratory disorders (ie. COVID-19!!), researchers have been looking into the potential for CBD to alleviate excessive lung inflammation and the storm of inflammatory cytokines that ensures during periods of respiratory distress.

We found that in both cases of asthma flare ups and ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome, the major killer of ), CBD helped to prevent excessive inflammation in the lungs, down regulate the production of inflammatory cytokines, improve oxygen levels and restore lung function. It also appears that CBD is a bronchodilator, which means it helps to dilate the lung airways by relaxing the bronchial muscles allowing for easier breathing.

While these results are super preliminary, we are excited about the potential for our favorite natural compound to help people suffering from respiratory issues!
