The Beach-Organic Sunless Tanning

Twenty three years ago, along with Debra’s unbreakable BIL Steve Demoura myself and countless first responders…police,fire,EMS started searching the woods. The woods of Weymouth, Taunton, Raynham and anywhere that anyone had a thought about or had a “sighting” of the husband. People donated small planes for aerial searches, food, water, a shoulder to cry on a chair for us to sit on…and their time. Loads and loads of their time to try to bring peace to a grieving mother, devastated children, and brothers and sisters that were unrelenting on finding Debra alive. Patty was unwavering, adamant pushing the fact that Debra “would never NEVER leave without her children!” She made sure that despite the news reports and the accusations from Louie that Debra had left on her own that everyone that could listen knew she wouldn’t- she didn’t! Those days will be forever engrained in my memory. I still remember the heat and the crunch of the twigs beneath our feet. The smells near the river and the calls from the grid search. The radios and the search dogs cooling their paws in the ice water. The world shifted those days after she vanished. Whatever we were doing didn’t matter. It was like someone pressed pause and the only thing we could focus on was helping my childhood friend Patty and Steve find her. What could we do who could we call where could we look what do you need?? Helpless but not. Never in a million years did I think it would take this long. We walked those woods with confidence and the hurdles we encountered between county lines were frustrating but the dedicated first responders that put the lives on hold to show up at all hours was incredible. Perfect strangers. Some good came from it I can see that. At the end of the day we are no closer to her. I have come to think this is on Debra’s terms and there is a greater reason we have to wait. There will never be closure for this family no matter because she was taken so abruptly. What they need is an Answer and Debra home so her children, Patty Ann , Steve and the rest of her loved ones can move forward and close this chapter. Louie is not smart enough to do this alone. Someone knows.
Please, enough time has passed. It’s time to talk. Let’s close this chapter we have all been rereading for 23 long years.

It’s not just a three day weekend!

Please pray for the Boston EMT that was horrifically assaulted by someone she was trying to care for last night. As well as for her partner who so feverishly tried to help. May God embrace them both and heal them. ❤️🙏🏼
At least a few times a year I post a few things regarding our brave first responders and military. These particular groups of people have a forever place in my heart. I am an EMT and worked a truck for nearly 20 years. It is a sad state of affairs when the rescuer can’t be respected enough to rescue anymore.
Please take a moment to reflect on all the EMS providers that risk their safety to provide exceptional care to the public. Thank you for the sacrifices that you and your families have made for our families. Thank you to those that have made the ultimate sacrifice and lost their lives in the line of duty and to those that live each day with the hauntings of the job.
