another rant voiceover…btw I don’t mind having nuanced convos about makeup, beauty standards, and the patriarchy. my claim isn’t that makeup exists in a vacuum- but the all or nothing thinking that blames women and erases history is reductive! also we should approach these topics with grace and nuance…but makeup is not inherently evil or exclusively a tool of the patriarchy and I want to live in a world where it’s a unisex form of self expression even if we aren’t there quite yet *and I acknowledge that* but those going into labor certainly aren’t to blame lol there’s nothing productive about punching down! Ok thanks if you actually read this before leaving a comment about it 😭
