✂️ 40 Years Behind the Chair ✂️

Trixi is celebrating 40 incredible years this Wednesday at a downtown barbershop—a journey that began with a single leap of faith.

On April 29, 1986, Bud Clumpner wasn’t planning to hire—but thanks to Todd Wiehr’s recommendation, he took a chance on apprentice Trixi Lokrantz. Todd, who knew her from Blackhawk Tech, believed she had something special… and he was right.

From her start at Pleasant Barber Shop on Pleasant Street in Beloit, Wisconsin, Trixi built a career grounded in hard work, connection, and love for the craft. 💈

The shop’s story continued to grow—Bud, a barber of 40+ years and State Board Examiner, passed the torch to Todd in 1989, becoming PBS Hair & Co. By 1991, Todd and Trixi moved the shop to 411 Broad Street as part of Beloit’s riverfront Project 2000.

In 1994, Cheri Barlow Weber took ownership, and today Cheri’s PBS Hair & Co is still going strong—with Trixi proudly carrying on the legacy.

✨ Trixi is the last remaining barber from the original Pleasant Barber Shop that Bud started over 80 years ago.

Here’s to 40 years of dedication, community, and tradition—and many more stories still to come.
