After 13 years of growing, evolving, and occasionally running out of space inside our four walls… Alter Salon is about to hit the road. 🚐✨

Introducing Alter Salon Express.

As a team, we started talking about opening a second location. But the more we talked, the more we realized something… we don’t want to be in just one more place.
We want to be everywhere.

So instead of another building, we decided to go mobile.

Alter Salon Express will be our way to bring the Alter experience out into the community — relaxing scalp massage haircuts, blowouts, and the same attention to detail you get in the salon — just on wheels.

But the mission is bigger than great hair.

Alter Salon Express exists to give back.
Once we’re fully up and rolling, we’ll be donating services to people in our community who need a little care, confidence, and kindness. We’ll also be popping up at local events so new guests can experience Alter for the first time.

This project is about community, connection, and spreading a little bit of the Alter magic beyond our walls. 💜💙

We’re kicking things off with the big news — Isabel just leveled up to Level 2 at Alter! 👏

She’s been putting in the work behind the chair and continuing her education, including some exciting advanced classes coming up in razor cutting and vivid color. Safe to say she’s not slowing down anytime soon.

We’re also celebrating a belated birthday for her 🎂 and we’re extra happy because she’s officially moving to town, which means she’ll be around the salon a lot more and her guests will have more chances to get in her chair.

Lots of good things happening for Isabel and we’re proud to watch her keep growing.

Six years. That’s a lot of hair, a lot of growth, and a whole lot of life. 💜💙

Elle walked into Alter Salon before COVID, when none of us could’ve imagined Zoom meetings, shutdowns, reopening chaos, or learning how to do life (and hair) in a completely new way. She didn’t just show up for the good parts, she stayed through all of it. The uncertainty. The pivoting. The rebuilding. The “are we really doing this again?” moments.

She grew alongside us during a time that challenged everyone in this industry, and somehow came out even stronger. Over the years, Elle evolved into not just an incredible stylist, but an educator within our company, a steady presence behind the chair, and someone who consistently set immaculate vibes in the space. The kind of energy that makes clients feel safe, seen, and excited to be there.

Watching her step into confidence, leadership, and now ownership has been one of the most rewarding parts of these past six years. This next chapter is something she’s earned. Through grit, creativity, and showing up when it mattered most.

We’re endlessly proud of you, Elle. Thank you for everything you’ve poured into Alter Salon, for growing with us, and for leaving your mark in a way that will always be part of this place.
