PRESS RELEASE:

A gas leak has occurred in a supply line in the 300 block of Beltrami Avenue. Emergency response crews from the Bemidji Police Department, Bemidji Fire Department, Minnesota Energy and the City of Bemidji Public Works department have responded. The 100- 200 blocks of 3rd and 4th street as well as the 300 block of Beltrami Avenue have been closed and individuals in the area are being evacuated. The public is asked to stay out of the area until crews have repaired the leak. More information will be released as it becomes available.

🌿Let’s Talk About Skin Safety Before Waxing!

I’m hopping on here today with an important reminder about why we need to be mindful of certain skincare products before waxing. (Trust me—this one comes from personal experience… keep reading!)

Products containing AHA, BHA, and retinol are game-changers for glowing, youthful skin, but they also make your skin more sensitive. Here’s the deal:

✨ AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) and BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acids) work by exfoliating the top layers of your skin to reveal fresher, smoother skin underneath.

✨ Retinol speeds up cell turnover, which thins the outer layer of skin and makes it more prone to damage.

When you wax while actively using these products (without taking a break for AT LEAST 5 days), you’re not just removing hair—you could be removing skin. Ouch!

How do I know this? Because I thought my skin was tough enough to handle waxing while on retinol… spoiler alert: IT’S NOT. Let’s just say, I have a very personal (and painful) reminder on my face right now.

This is your friendly, slightly humbled reminder: no one is exempt from skin science, not even your esthetician! If you’re using products like these, please let me know before your appointment. Your skin (and my conscience) will thank you!

As I’ve transitioned into my new location downtown I’ve been so fortunate to become busier than I’ve ever could have imagined! (ALL THANKS TO YOU GUYS!! YAY!!🎉) With that being said I just want to emphasize the importance of PRE-BOOKING your appointments as my SQUARE BOOKING is 100% accurate. All booking, rescheduling and canceling is to be done via the SQUARE GO app or my SQUARE BOOKING LINK💜

Lastly a quick reminder ☑️: if you are someone who is receiving a single service or a 15-minute service and you're more than five minutes late, I will consider it a no-show. Also, if you don't call or show up for your appointment, unfortunately, I won't be able to offer you services in the future. Again, thanks for understanding and helping me keep everything running smoothly!

I quickly became everyone’s go to girl for a quick eyebrow tweeze as an unlicensed middle school / high-schooler. Let’s just say, if there was unwanted hair, I’ve been snatching it since back in the day!
